2010 Primary Election Voter’s Guide

In past elections, I’ve created an interactive voter’s guide that tallies all of the candidates views on church-state separation and allows you to narrow down the complete list to just those ballot issues in your district. Unfortunately, the software that I created to pull the voter information from the Brevard Elections website got lost due to a hard drive failure, and I don’t have time to re-create it.

However, most of the information came from the Christian Coalition and Florida Family Policy Council voter’s guides. They just released a joint guide, and you can find it here:

UPDATE: I pulled together info that we’d compiled during previous elections on candidates that are currently running. It was a quick & dirty effort, so hopefully I didn’t miss any. Here’s the link:

George Ricker

George Ricker, one of the founders of SCFA and a great friend to all who knew him, passed away this week. He will be missed.

George was a very prolific writer on church-state and freethought issues. He wrote two books, “Godless in America: conversations with an atheist” and “mere atheism: no gods…no problem!” and maintained his website godlessinamerica.com that has many essays and other writings. He also contributed many articles to our newsletter over the years, many of which are available on his website.
